WASHINGTON, DC, December 7, 2004 – Larry Silverman, president of Broadband Energy Networks Inc., Philadelphia area-based developer of broadband and Internet-enabled building and home automation systems, will be a featured speaker today at the Platts Broadband Power Lines Conference in Washington, DC.
The two-day conference, will examine the future of broadband power lines (BPL) as an effective utility application against a backdrop regulatory, technological, and business model complications.
Silverman, who represents 30 years experience in automation, will explore how internal utility applications can provide the foundation for network deployment and support the introduction of additional broadband services for end-use customers.
Using his company’s firsthand experience gained during a residential trial in Laredo, TX from 1995 to 1997and a soon-to-be-launched commercial and residential trial in New York State, Silverman will move from past to present to future to project the role of broadband-over-power lines to support integrated utility services for both home and business systems.
